Currently a student at Mount Holyoke College, Amanda is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology, with an expected graduation in May 2025. Their academic and creative journey is deeply intertwined with a commitment to social justice and Multiracial identity. 

Driven by the belief that everyone deserves a supportive community, Amanda founded the Mixed Identity Student Collective during their freshman year. Drawing from their own mixed background (Asian, Latine, and white), they felt compelled to create a space where students with similar experiences could connect and find understanding. The collective aims to support Multiracial students and foster inclusive dialogue, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued. 

Art and media are central to Amanda’s expression, with filmmaking and poetry serving as key forms through which they explore themes of what it means to be Multiracial and the process of coming to terms with one's identity. Crafting stories and engaging with diverse perspectives are at the heart of their work. They view research as a vital tool for deeply understanding various lived experiences and integrating these insights into their creative practices. 

Amanda has presented their research at conferences such as the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity and the Critical Mixed Race Studies Conference, addressing critical issues surrounding identity and social justice. Additionally, their role on the executive board for the Critical Mixed Race Studies Association allows them to contribute to shaping important discussions and initiatives in the field. 

By blending artistic expression with research, Amanda aims to make complex ideas more accessible and impactful. Committed to nurturing communities and advancing understanding, they use both creative and scholarly approaches to inspire meaningful conversations and drive positive change. Their goal is to continue developing projects that address significant issues around Multiracial identity and support a more inclusive and equitable world.
